If so, it would be strange. It usually refers to people much older than he. But it is good that you are, if at all. They have different treatments. I had Graves in the 80s and put the gland removed. Now suffering from hypothyroidism. I think it's worse in many ways. Regardless of the treatment, you must ensure that it is controlled by the hypothalamus, after the rental. Former President Bush and Barbara Bush were serious and two had radiotherapy. Both seem to be in order. Good luck ....

PS Yes .... One person mentioned Prozac .... And depression is a big part with hypothyroidism. Make sure disciplned and has a strong work ethic ... these two things will help on the street.

It is actually a pill, which is a type of chemotherapy and so on. Will reduce the size of the thyroid, but so far no complications.

In addition, there is always the possibility of surgery to remove the overactive thyroid hormones and will be replaced by something like Synthroid.

I had some serious problems with the thyroid gland (now removed) half. I do not think that there is no treatment at home.
It will take the advice of your physician and the medication was prescribed.

In fact, my mother has a radiation treatment that effectively killed his thyroid ... is effective, but she is on Prozac for the rest of his life.
